A parker looked after an enclosed hunting park, keeping the deer in and everyone else out. It was a position of some trust and considerable unpopularity.
The name follows the distribution of medieval deer parks, which is to say the distribution of people wealthy enough to enclose one.
Bestow the name a title it never had
An honorific Lord or Lady certificate in the Parker name, hand-finished and sealed, with a square metre of Scottish woodland dedicated alongside it. A novelty, magnificently done — and a good deal more fun than a family tree.
